Israeli soldiers ransacked the West Bank refugee camp, looking for Palestinians fighting against their occupation, leaving a trail of death and destruction behind. For Jenin, this is now the norm.

The Freedom Theatre, once a cultural oasis in Jenin dedicated to the celebration of life, turned into a dungeon of terror, murder and death overnight. But renovations are already underway.

The camp's residents show strong social cohesion. Unlike many other cities and villages in the West Bank, it is not characterised by political divisions.
