Clashes have recently erupted in Sudan between the army, led by Gen. Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, and the Rapid Support Forces, led by Gen. Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo (Hemedti).

The clashes are the first between the two men after they jointly toppled President Omar al-Bashir in 2019.
