By Dr. Galal Amin

The middle class is being eradicated by the social conditions. Thinkers, writers and talented people are feeling increasingly estranged and are being either willingly or unwillingly isolated. Not to forget that journalism as well as religious preaching methods have worsened.

One of the very important issues this book tackles is "inheriting" presidency in Egypt which is an issue that has been troubling not only thinkers and politicians but all of the Egyptian society recently. He addresses the people's concerns as well as his own and his thoughts on why inheritance of the presidential position is a viable option despite all the obstacles. Galal Amin didn't overlook to dedicate two chapters concerning Egypt's relation with the United States and with the Arab World.

The conspiracy theory is very evident in this book. Galal Amin blames greatly the United States for the current situation in Egypt. He believes that Egypt's policies are made in Washington and exported to Egypt for direct implementation without questioning. Some readers may agree with the author others however may find his analysis rather naïve as it would be very wrong to shift responsibility for Egypt's deteriorating economic and social life solely on America. Furthermore the researches and statistics used by the author are the ones that back up his arguments and prove his point of view.

The book is interesting with lots of examples, reflection on personal experiences and personal stories; it will surely engage the reader. This is a blunt shocking book that reminds the reader of a doctor informing the patient with his long misdiagnosed illness without compassion. However the book is subjective to a great extent with the author biased point of view present in every issue. Whether the reader agrees with Galal Amin or disagrees with him, a common agreement on the fact that his article hits a chord in the heart of all Egyptians is present.
