Revealed: the full text of Trump’s deal between Israel and Hamas

Al Majalla has obtained the latest draft of the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas, which US President Donald Trump hopes to finalise ahead of his meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Washington this week.

The proposal, now referred to as the “Trump Deal,” outlines a two-month ceasefire, the release of hostages and prisoners, and the repatriation of bodies by both parties. The revised text incorporates feedback from Hamas on a previous version, which Al Majalla published on 2 June.

Hamas is reviewing the updated proposal, delivered via Qatari and Egyptian mediators on behalf of US Middle East envoy Steve Witkoff, with other Palestinian factions. The final decision “will be submitted to the mediators upon completion of the consultations”.

Trump said last week that Israel had accepted the terms required to finalise a 60-day ceasefire with Hamas, during which both sides would pursue a broader agreement to end the conflict. A source close to Hamas said it wanted guarantees that the US-backed proposal would ultimately lead to a complete end to the war. Two Israeli officials confirmed that discussions on these details were ongoing.

The following is the full official text of the Trump Deal:

1. Duration:

A 60-day ceasefire. President Trump guarantees Israeli compliance for the full duration.

2. Hostage Release:

Ten living Israeli hostages and 18 deceased from the “List of 58” will be released on Days 1, 7, 30, 50 and 60, as follows:

- Day 1: Release of eight living hostages

- Day 7: Transfer of the bodies of five deceased hostages

- Day 30: Release of five living hostages

- Day 50: Release of two living hostages

- Day 60: Transfer of the bodies of eight deceased hostages

3. Humanitarian Aid:

Humanitarian assistance will be dispatched to Gaza immediately following Hamas’s acceptance of the ceasefire. This will be in accordance with an agreement to be reached on aid for the civilian population, which will be upheld throughout the duration of the ceasefire.

The agreement will ensure the delivery of aid in substantial and appropriate quantities, consistent with the 19 January 2025 agreement on humanitarian relief. Aid will be distributed through agreed-upon channels, including the United Nations and the Red Crescent.

4. Israeli Military Activity:

All Israeli offensive operations in Gaza will cease once the agreement takes effect. During the ceasefire, aerial (military and surveillance) activity over Gaza will be paused for 10 hours daily, or 12 hours on days when hostages and prisoners are exchanged.

5. Israeli Army Redeployment:

- Day 1: Following the release of eight living hostages, Israeli forces will redeploy in northern Gaza and the Netzarim corridor, following Article 3 on humanitarian aid and according to maps to be agreed upon.

- Day 7: After the transfer of five deceased hostages, redeployment will proceed in southern Gaza, following Article 3 on humanitarian aid and according to maps to be agreed upon. Technical teams will work on final redeployment boundaries through expedited negotiations.

6. Negotiations:

On the first day, negotiations will begin under the auspices of the mediators-guarantors on the arrangements necessary for a permanent ceasefire, including:

- Criteria and conditions for the exchange of remaining Israeli hostages for an agreed number of Palestinian prisoners held in Israeli jails.

- Issues relating to Israeli military redeployment, withdrawal, and long-term security arrangements in the Gaza Strip.

- Arrangements for the 'Day After' in Gaza, to be proposed by both parties.

- A formal declaration of a permanent ceasefire

7. Presidential Support:

President Trump is committed to ensuring that both parties comply with the ceasefire agreement and affirms that, should negotiations during the temporary truce be successfully concluded by mutual agreement, they will result in a permanent resolution of the conflict.

8. Release of Palestinian Prisoners:

In return for the release of Israeli hostages, both living and deceased, as outlined in Article 2 above, Israel will release an agreed number of Palestinian prisoners. These releases will occur in parallel with the release of hostages, in accordance with Article 2, under a mutually agreed mechanism and without any public display or ceremony.

9. Hostage and Prisoner Status:

By Day 10, Hamas will provide full information (including proof of life, medical reports, or confirmation of death) on all remaining hostages. In exchange, Israel will disclose comprehensive details regarding Palestinian detainees from Gaza since October 7 and the number of deceased Gazans in Israeli custody. Hamas also commits to ensuring the health, welfare, and safety of all hostages during the ceasefire.

10. Remaining Hostages:

Negotiations on the arrangements for a permanent ceasefire must be completed within 60 days. Should agreement be reached, all remaining Israeli hostages (both living and deceased) from the “List of 58” will be released. If negotiations on the arrangements for a permanent ceasefire are not concluded within the specified timeframe, the temporary truce may be extended in accordance with Article 11 below.

11. Guarantors:

The mediators-guarantors (the United States, Egypt, and Qatar) will guarantee that the ceasefire will last for 60 days and ensure that serious discussions are held on the arrangements necessary for a permanent ceasefire. The mediators will ensure that serious negotiations continue for an additional period, if necessary, under the procedures agreed upon in this framework.

12. Envoy Leadership:

Special Envoy Ambassador Steve Witkoff will travel to the region to finalise the agreement and lead the ensuing negotiations.

13. President Trump:

President Trump will personally announce the ceasefire agreement. The United States and President Trump are committed to working to ensure that negotiations continue in good faith until a final agreement is reached.
