Mr. President,
Being a man who has dedicated most of his time, effort, thoughts and writings to confronting the Muslim Brotherhood’s ideology, my patriotic duty requires me to warn your honor that hotbeds of terrorism still exist across Egypt despite the efforts, time and lives sacrificed to protect Egypt and Egyptians from terrorists.
Mr. President,
I would like to ask you to assign members of Al-Azhar’s Council of Senior Scholars, chaired by a wise man like Dr. Khaled Okasha, to review and choose all educational materials, including those given in Al-Azhar schools, institutes and colleges.
Mr. President,
The time has come to return Al-Azhar University to one field of education, namely, Islamic studies, while transferring the faculties of medicine, engineering, pharmacy, science and agriculture to the Ministry of Higher Education to be available for all Egyptians, regardless of their religion.
Mr. President,
The religious discourse should be reviewed as implementation of your repeated requests, which has been impeded by the objectors. I am certain Your Honor will not allow any further delay.
Egyptians have long suffered from the terrorist crimes. Therefore, allow me to reiterate what I have been calling for since I published my first book 43 years ago. Despite the importance of fighting terrorist elements, it does not replace the fight against terrorism.
Terrorists are people, while terrorism is an ideology.
I am confident that the leader who saved Egypt on July 3, 2013 from its worst defect and has been protecting the country since then from the worst criminal faction will not hesitate to eliminate the terrorist ideology.
