As it weighs anchor in the port of the Tunisian city of Gabès, DP World, the port operator from the Emirati city of Dubai decided to extend its global network of operations.
The port is strategically important because of the city's geographically sensitive location as well as its openness to Europe. This is especially true as a result of the establishment of a continental free trade zone, particularly in the Niger and Mali, and Niger regions. Considering the port's depth of approximately 14 meters, it can serve as a passage for all raw materials required by the region's chemical factories.
The Emirati corporation DP has partnered with Tunisian-French businessman Mohamed Ayachi Ajroudi, who is well-versed in the city’s capabilities.
In the same context, a delegation from this multinational corporation visited the project site, which will cover thirty hectares
