Majalla - London
Now in its fourteenth year, Olympia Beauty brings the biggest beauty brands to London. This time last year, Olympia Beauty saw over 18,500 beauty industry professionals descend on Olympia London to witness what many described as 'the best looking show in beauty'. The Olympia Beauty trade show team, continue to invest heavily in the show experience, with features including The Salon & Spa Owners' Club, Salon Of The Future, Wellness Seminars & Wellness Live and the Olympia Stage programme. There are also four competitions hosted at Olympia Beauty 2018 including The National Massage Championship, Brush Wars, The Lash Games and Nailympia London.
In any general area of beauty you work you will benefit from visiting different brands and receive beauty tips every time. I had a chance to meet and speak to some of the professionals during this year’s event to understand their products better. I came across LVC Korean Nanoblading Semi Permanent make up, Deesse Pro Light Therapy and other products such as Oyster skin care and Embo Pro to keep your natural beauty and wellbeing on a daily basis.
“I trained in Nanoblading with LV College and it has changed my life, the course was informative but also super fun! I worked on live models alongside my tutor who literally trained me step-by-step until I was perfect!” said Vanessa- LVC graduate.
According to Dermalogica, clients view interactive technology as an integral part of the modern consumer experience. Technologies such as Light Therapy clinically prove the benefits light wavelengths have on improving skin conditions and technology’s growing role in the modern consumer experience. Such products passionately bring to the market up to date services. Deesee Pro for example uses low-level light technology (LLLT) by way of high quality surface-mounted, light emitting diodes (LED’S) in a 5 variations to expose the skin to five wavelengths of light. Delivered at safe therapeutic doses, Deesse Pro will stimulate natural cellular responses. These responses lead to skin-rejuvenation and the improvement of common problematic skin conditions.
On the other hand, the power of natural products is continuously used in the industry for beauty treatments. Hosted at Olympia Beauty, Geraldine McLogan from college of Naturopathic Medicine explains how you can avoid chemicals and perfumes on your skin by using your own skin care products, the natural way. This event also provided a great opportunity to learn which products are best to use and how to achieve that healthy glow. In practice, every different type of beauty treatment you embrace will rejuvenate and make you look and feel better.
My next step is to choose the most suitable products and treatments for myself and maintain the appearance of a fresher and younger looking face. Whatever your needs, you have access to exciting brands and beauty products.
For professionals and training courses I came across LV college, which is a modern and dynamic vocational college offering a wide range of courses within the hair and beauty industry. The award winning and unique courses are led by industry professionals who have a true passion for teaching and this reflects in every students’ experience and work.
“Training with LVC was the best decision I have ever made, I was stuck in a dead-end job with no prospects and now I am running my own business working the hours that suit me, thank you!” Emma LVC graduate says.
