Caryle Murphy is an independent journalist based in Washington, D.C. A long-time reporter for the <em>Washington Post</em>, she was awarded the Pulitzer Prize for International Reporting and the George Polk Award for Foreign Reporting for her coverage of Iraqi-occupied Kuwait and the 1990–1991 Gulf War. Her latest book, <em>A Kingdom's Future: Saudi Arabia Through the Eyes of its Twentysomethings</em> was published by the Wilson Center in January 2013
